We are happy to confirm, that the Pines Resort, on Bass Lake was added as one of the stops for YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation Services). As a result, our guests will have a convenient and affordable way to visit the Park , rather than renting a car or driving on own. Finally, you are able to relax, enjoy the views or take pictures, instead of having to pay attention to the traffic or looking for parking.
Now, for around $10-15 per person, you will be able to go to see Yosemite National Park. The best part is, that bus fare includes the entry fee to the park, which is normally $30. In addition, one child (ages 12 and under) can travel free of charge with an adult (one child per adult ticket purchased). Additional children and seniors (62+) will be able to purchase reduced fares.
YARTS is a regularly scheduled, fixed route, public transit system. It operates year-round in the Yosemite region. All YARTS fares into Yosemite include the park entrance fee.
YARTS provides service into Yosemite National Park and gateway communities in comfortable, air-conditioned buses. Ride YARTS to safely enjoy the scenery instead of watching the road. Bus stops are designated and pickup will be only available at those stops. It seems like guests may be able to arrange drop offs (unloading only) at additional location, if there is spacious and safe way to do so. Guests are welcome to travel with their luggage. If you want to bring your bicycle, you will be able to store it in the compartments under the bus.
Based on the review on YARTS website, their drivers are courteous, knowledgeable of the area and punctual.
Bass Lake route will start with the 2017 Summer Schedules. Buses will start their routes on May 15th, 2017.
