– free, family friendly community event
October 02, 2018— The Pines Resort is calling all the goblins, vampires, princesses, pirates and super heroes to stop by the Pines Village for the 3rd Annual Bass Lake Halloween and Fall Carnival. The event is scheduled on Saturday, October 27, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you’re looking for a safe, fun way for the whole family to celebrate Halloween, look no further. This event will feature a variety of free activities, including carnival games, face painting, crafts, inflatables, and more. It is a perfect celebartion for kids any age, including adults who are kids at heart!
Even though the Event Manager, Amy Sanders, is still adding more activities and finalizing all the details, you can be sure that there will be plenty to do for everyone!
PHOTO CONTEST
Children ages 12 and under can participate in our costume contest! Just wear a costume to the event, and stop by our Halloween Photo Booth anytime during the Halloween and Fall Carnival to snap a photo on your phone or camera. Then, email your picture to dpetty@basslake.com before October 31st. You will have a chance to win special prizes in one of the three categories; “The Cutest Costume”, “The Most Creative Costume” and new this year, “Best Family Costume”. Terms of participation will be available on Pines’ website: www.BassLake.com as well as Facebook.com/pinesresort. Prizes include weekend getaways to the Resort, as well as gift cards for Ducey’s on the Lake.
TRICK-OR-TREAT
During the event, kids can go trick or treating in the Pines Village. This event is great for families looking for a safe, friendly trick or treating environment, particularly for those with younger children. If you’re looking to warm up or fuel up during the event, be sure to stop by the Pines Market. There will be a number of other seasonal goodies and carnival food.
INFLATABLES
Just like in the past years, we are bringing kids’ favorite – inflatable slides, bounce houses and obstacle courses. We will also have some outdoor games available, as well as crafts.
BEER GARDEN
While there will be plenty of family-friendly activities to participate in, there will also be several adult-only events that you won’t want to miss. Tioga Sequoia and SLO Brewery will be visiting our beer garden, where adult-guests can enjoy a sampling of some of their seasonal brews and year-round favorites.
NEW: DJ & CARICATURE ARTIST
For the first time ever, DJ Zack Peckinpah, will be our host and entertainer today. Make sure to dress to impress and wear a comfy pair of shoes to participate in our games. Also, new this year, from 1pm – 3pm, we will have a caricature artist, Brian Zamorano, showing off his skills at our Festival. His services will be free for our participants (tips encouraged).
PINES VILLAGE CRAFT FAIR
In addition, happening throughout the weekend is the Pines Village Autumn Craft Fair. One of the area’s most popular events, guests can browse vendors, chat with artists and craftsmen, and shop for a variety of locally made goods, including local photography, wood crafts, handmade jewelry and clothing, ceramics, and more. Stop by the Pines Village between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday to check it out.
