Once a year, companies market their Valentine’s Day products within all our favorite stores and across our television screens. Red roses, chocolate covered fruits and goodies, jewelry, and stuffed animals are all touted leading up to the annual day of love and romance. Adventure Together
Most people will tell you their greatest memories are not those of gifts, but of time shared in new places. It can be a well-thought out trip or spur-of-the-moment outing in the mountains– the point is to get out and explore the world together. Romance comes in many forms, but the best is making new memories together.
Date Nights
These nights don’t have to be at the swanky new restaurant downtown. They can be spent people-watching in a shopping center, getting a coffee and dessert, or on a one-night getaway near the lake.
Taking time to focus on you and your partner encourages open communication and uninterrupted quality time.
After all, life is busy. Kids, careers, family and friends require a lot of our time. But it’s important that we don’t lose sight of the people we were before life happened. Making a point to reconnect with our partners is far too important to only invest on Valentine’s Day. And, to be honest, it’s in these moments alone, during date night, that we are reminded of why we choose one another.
