Back in May when we were in the middle of covid pandemic, we have launched Families of Bass Lake Campaign. The main purpose of this campaign was to really get to know our families. We asked people to share their special stories and memories from Bass Lake and submit their applications. While the program was open to anyone who has stayed at the Pines Resort before, we were mainly looking to point out the most loyal patrons and advocates of our brand:
- Guests and families who have been coming for years and/or staying multiple times a year.
- Customers, who have a unique connection to our Resort.
- Those, who share special memories or fun traditions, related to Bass Lake and the Pines Resort.
We have received just a little over 50 applications and contacted 8 families to answer additional questions and finally picked 3 families to introduce to you.
Farmer Family
Farmer Family comes to Bass Lake for almost 40 years. What started as a trip to visit their friend’s cabin, turned into a family vacation destination. It is their favorite spot for rest and relaxation. A special place, where the whole family can NOT have an agenda or plan and they can just enjoy their time together.
Alice and her family come at least twice a week, in the Summer and then return in the Fall. They had an opportunity to celebrate many occassions, here at the Pines Resort. From anniversaries to birthdays to wedding celebrations. They especially enjoy staying in the Sweetland Cabin or one of the lake view rooms, where they can be comfortable and have ability to cook and enjoy their meals together, as a family.
When asked about three words that come to mind when he hears “Bass Lake”, Alice said: Fun, Family & Friends.
When at Bass Lake, Farmer family likes to just enjoy the area. They do not have a plan or itinerary – they are just enjoying the nature and their vacation. They do, however, like browsing gift stores in the Village or shop at the Pines Village craft fair for unique gifts and custom stuff. Although they try to cook most meals as a family, they do enjoy hamburgers from Ducey’s on the Lake, especially when they can sit on the patio.
Why should people come and visit Bass Lake?
Alice: Why come? We come to The Pines because we want to be on the lake, in the mountains, with lots of conveniences near-by.
What advice would you give to people looking into coming to stay at Bass Lake? What is a “must bring” or “must do” while at Bass Lake?
Alice: Remember to bring good shoes! Those are so important if you are trying to go hiking or just comfortable enough to explore the village. Swim suit and light jacket will be usefull in the summertime as well.
