The Pines Resort News

After 2020 pandemic, followed by the 2021 travel boom, the Pines Resort is having a pretty typical 2023. Apart from the national staffing shortage, that forced us to adjust the hours of operation for our Bar & Grill; the rest of the business operates as usual.

Now, that the travel is less restrictive, we are finally seeing our international guests returning back to Bass Lake. Family reunions are trending up and couples are again hosting elaborate wedding celebrations. 2022 and 2023 have definitely been our “Wedding Year” with a record number of weddings on the books.

The Pines Resort strives to provide our patrons with a great experience, so they can create life long memories. Here are other updates from the resort.

  • purchased new bedding and linens
  • new décor and many other improvements.

Restaurants

We have two restaurants on property, improvements to the restaurants include:

  • new flooring
  • updated tables & chairs.

We also replaced equipment and appliances in the kitchen. Our Executive Chef just released new amazing menus, which are a very big hit.

Amenities

There was also some work done in the pool area :

  • the bottom of the pool and the deck were fully resurfaced
  • the furniture around the deck was replaced
  • cabana deck, adjacent to the pool, had the deck fully replaced
  • new event tent with lights and drapery was added
  • the lower deck area below the pool was finished, giving access to a beautiful view overlooking the lake.
  • there are two fire pits for guests to enjoy S’mores with friends and family or take some time to relax by a beautiful bonfire.
  • We have also added a Glice Rink for the winter reason, glice is an artifical ice skating experience

2. Conference Center

The updates started with new flooring, which has improved the look of the room dramatically. We have also added new lighting features, as well as upgraded the AV capabilities to allow for live streaming of the meetings. In the near future, our goal is to update our tableware, sound system, and banquet kitchen appliances.

3. Activities

We are lucky to live in an area that has an assortment of activities for everyone to enjoy. From hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, rock climbing, adventure 4X4 Jeep Tours, looking at local artists or wine trails, a train ride at the Sugar Pine Railroad, and horseback riding.

You can also enjoy an array of water sports like kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, jet skiing, wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, or a pontoon boat with a BBQ. Available to you, we provide tennis rackets and balls to play tennis on one of our two courts.

This past summer we started offering Yoga on the lake open to guests.

We’ve added a concierge position at the Resort. Hannah, who is leading the role, is extremely knowledgeable of the area and has a great rapport with the outside vendors, plus she always has a big smile for everyone to see. She’ll be happy to help you book reservations for dining and events; her enthusiasm will help make your trip here second to none.

4. Events

For 2023 and 2024 we’ve improved our calendar of events. Attendance is showing that each event has so much to offer. This year, we are hosting seven craft fairs, and nine summer concerts!! A spectacular fireworks display to two of our concerts – the first on and the last one. We like to start and finish on the right “note”!

Comedy shows, Sip & Paint nights by the lake, beer and wine parring’s are “in the works”. During special holidays we set-up a backdrop for families to take memorable pictures. Our traditional Halloween Carnival, Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, Parade of Lights and our New Year’s Eve party are constantly being enriched.

5. Awards

Award-winning vendors are distinguished for the quality, quantity, consistency and timeliness of the reviews they have received from their past clients.

6 Luxury Homes

This past year has seen an increase to our inventory adding four upscale homes. Each of the homes are located on prime property at or nearby Bass Lake, and offer first class amenities.

These homes are ideal for family reunions, multi families, or day meetings. Amenities available at the resort are extended to our guests staying in any one of our luxury houses.
